Al-Khalifa regime and its family members did cross all the lines!! They used all sorts of atrocities against their own people. They did things that we only used to see illiterate and backward African tribes and armed militias in Uganda back in the 90’s do. And even back then, I don’t think people were tortured; they were shot!
They banned people from practicing their religious rituals.
They sent royal family members to torture political leaders.
They arrested, tortured, tried and send to imprisonment the best doctors in the region.
They tortured and sexually harassed women.
They sentenced innocent people to execution and life-imprisonment.
They kidnapped people, tortured them and threw in the middle of nowhere.
They tortured.
They shot ambulances.
They killed people with tear gas.
They threw tear gas inside bedrooms.
They shot people with birdshots.
They burnt the Quraan.
They systematically vandalized private property.
They locked people inside houses, set up fire and block people inside from escaping. And when people tried to escape, they shoot them!!
They ran over people with riot police cars.
They blew up heads.
They demolished mosques.
They arrested and tortured juveniles
They tortured to death.
They killed people at checkpoints.
They taught children violence and hatred.
They used tanks and armored vehicles to target unarmed peaceful civilians
They ordered the Army to kill unarmed civilians.
They hired thugs
